In this scene, age is being shown as intimidating in many different ways. This is shown using different camera techniques. This suggests that the audience may get an insight into the boys mind as to how he may try and harm the victim, which is shown through his facial expressions. This Close Up may be used to make the audience feel slightly uncomfortable about that character and his intentions. Also the on screen social group may have used it to make the audience feel as if they are under threat. The boy is shown as being the victim through his facial expressions. A Medium Close up is used to show this.
Through this Close Up we are shown his facial expression, which show that he is scared and feels threatened by the on screen social group. This may make the audience feel uncomfortable as they may begin to sense what may happen to the victim. Also the victim is being represented as being innocent. This is also shown through a Close Up, which indicates that he is innocent as he is being shown as being horrified by from the bullies. The victim is being bullied because he looks vulnerable as he only stands still, he doesn’t do anything whiles he is being criticized and he lowers his eyes by not looking eye to eye to the bullies when they are bullying him. The victim is shown as looking up towards the group, which is shown through a Low Angle Shot. This makes the victim and the audience feel fearful about the on screen social group and also shows the victim as being less powerful and less significant which makes the audience feel under threat by the on screen social group.
